Facebook Stalking

Baking cookies with Lucy Bear!!

Aleena Baby is sick.

The more I "diet," the more the temptations of food come into mind. I messaged Tommy the picture of Lucy baking cookies and said, "Baking cookies for you, Daddy" for when he gets home from work, but really, I'm probably going to eat half of them before he even gets home. =]

Now before you get the wrong impression about me being a SuperMom because I bake cookies with my toddler, calm down. There's a reason why the rest of my house isn't in the background of this picture. =] And, these cookies are not homemade. Ain't nobody got time for that. [HAHA, I really just made myself laugh from that... sighhh] They're straight from the Pillsbury ready-made cookie dough package. I had to fix Lucy's little cookie arrangement before it went into the oven, but she was very proud of herself. =]

Wrong impressions are funny. It's like here, in MI, when people say I'm so skinny. I just laugh to myself, because all I do is hide it well, and also because I gain a TON of weight during pregnancies. So they compare me to the whale version of myself. I guess I'm skinny in comparison to a whale. It's when we go back to SD that I get a dose of reality. It's where people remember me in my 105lb frame. And this is basically how that conversation goes...
Me-"Oh, hey! How are you? You look good!"
Person who hasn't seen me in awhile-"Thanks! You... ahh Your kids are adorable! I kind of stalk you on Facebook."
-_-

Anyways, I'm working on it! It's been a little hard lately. It's kind of hard getting motivated in 20 degree weather. And Aleena's been sick too, my poor baby. She's such a good baby though. You wouldn't know that she's sick until she starts coughing. We went to the Dr's today and it's viral, so we just have to ride this thing through with the occasional dose of Tylenol PRN.

Can't wait until April! We will be in SD again for 2 weeks! I'm so excited to be there for a wedding! MJ's getting married! It's going to be a great reunion! =]

"I'm a Peacock, Captain, You Gotta Let Me Fly!"

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Lucy @2 years & 3 months
  - is way too smart
  - VERY possessive of me. When Tommy hugs me, she says, "Daddy, don't do that to Mommy!"
  - loves Aleena
  - is amazingly patient&loving with BabySister. If Aleena pulls her hair, she'll call for us to help. She has never hit at, bitten, or hurt BabySister intentionally. She's a great Ate.
  - Thinks Chewbacca is a monkey.

Aleena @6 months
  - starting to sit up on her own.
  - is a FATTY! She can down 6oz and a tub of apple sauce, then be hungry in 2 hrs!
  - thinks AteLucy is the FUNNIEST person ever! She ONLY laughs at Lucy.
  - Sleeps 10hrs straight through the night

It really sounds cliche, but I really can't believe that another year has come and gone! I remember when I was younger, I thought, "Man, people in college are so old!" and it's been 3 years since I've graduated! God has been really gracious to me and my little family. He has not left us wanting for anything He hasn't provided. I'm really excited about what 2013 will hold for us.

I'm so happy and blessed with my two girls, and I wish I could say we'd be done, but Tommy wants a "hunting partner." Hopefully he'll just forget about it haha. Maybe Lucy or Aleena would want to go hunting with him when they get older instead.

The first (& ONLY) time I went hunting, Tommy took me through the thickest and the most THORNIEST tall-grass ever. He was walking in front of me "blazing a trail" for me to follow but I just kept getting smacked in the face with the branches he was pushing out the way for himself. hahahah! I laugh at the experience now, but after a couple yards I just stopped and started crying. Then he took me  back to the car, and I just went on facebook until he got done. Ugh, never again!

Anyways, we'll see, maybe in two years. I've been diligently going to the gym 2-3 days a week. I started at 133lbs, and after 4 weeks, I'm down to 122lbs! It doesn't seem like a lot, but I'm proud of myself for starting this around the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years festivities. I just want to loose enough weight, so that if we do have another baby, the pounds just don't keep on piling on.
